Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Spring Wild Food Foraging Course Walk | Hinchingbrooke Country Park | samedi, 09. mai 2020

The beautiful Hinchingbrooke Country Park, located in Huntingdon, is the perfect place to learn how to forage for edible plants and fungi growing in the UK. This foraging course is easy to get to from Peterborough, Northampton, Bedford, and Cambridge.
When we meet up, we will go through the basics of foraging before heading out over the park's range of habitats, including woodland, hedgerows, watersides, parkland, and meadows.

On this foraging walk, you will discover how to identify some commonly growing foods to forage for, and hints on where to look. When we meet up, we will go through laws and safety points of foraging before heading out to discover the wild food in the area.

exploration of the venue


introduction to a number of edible species 


instruction on how to tell edible species apart from poisonous lookalikes


tips on harvesting


information on where to find these species again


recipe ideas


wild food treat/s to sample


digital information sheet after the course


All samples are 100% plant/fungi-based or have a 100% plant/fungi-based alternative.
Participants must be aged 18 or over - sorry, no babes in arms
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the course
